David is a creative and passionate innovator and entrepreneur with 10+ years experience in entrepreneurial ventures and client relationships. Prior to founding Synetiq, David worked at Imprvd, a digital brand consulting firm and at Dezigen, an e-commerce business that sold high-end design products, two companies he co-founded. David has studied design and architecture in Paris and in Hong Kong. He worked for clients in 3 continents out of China, France and Hungary where he built and led teams of engineers, scientists and designers. David was featured on Forbes’ 30 under 30 list and the New Europe 100 list of emerging leaders of Google and the Financial Times.
Csenge is a passionate market and media researcher, with 10+ years of profound research experience in the fields of media & technologies (TV, internet, papers, radio, games, music, telecommunications), marketing & advertisements, health and lifestyle out of which she spent 6 years at Ipsos. She is fuelled by the desire to understand people and their decision making processes. In her profession she approaches research in a creative way seeking always the newest and best practices, she also loves to speak in public. Csenge lived, studied and worked in Denmark, Vietnam, Spain and Hungary. She visits India on a yearly basis for improving her daily ashtanga yoga practice.
Diego has an international and eclectic background. He holds a Telecommunication MSc from Spain and a Mathematical Modeling MSc from Denmark. Besides, he has 10+ years of professional experience in the design and implementation of solutions based on statistical models. Besides numerous internships, he worked at Oticon, Danish company leader in the market of hearing aid devices, where he improved their wireless solution using statistics. Then, he worked at Tradeshift, which is a worldwide startup that handles business data in the cloud. His role was to improve the business processes of their customers by developing software services powered by machine learning technologies. During the time he was at Tradeshift, the company experience a 20x growth.
Diego brings to the team a strong knowledge and applied experience with machine learning and signal processing, plus a passion for lean development. He likes to talk about value, product, growth, scrum and agile. When he is not in front of the computer, he reads about artificial intelligence and its global impact on society.
András earned his MSc from Eötvös Loránd University and his PhD from the Central European University in Mathematics. He has been working for over ten years as a professional software engineer, at small technology startups as well as at a financial services giant. For the last few years, he has been developing data-intensive distributed JVM and Python applications, mainly a financial risk calculation system and a recommendation engine. As a data engineer at Synetiq, András contributes to building the company’s unique data storage and processing technology. Outside of work, he likes swimming and taking long walks with his little son.
As a Software Engineer, Dani loves solving problems and coming up with architectural designs for greenfield projects. He always has one (or many) ongoing side-projects, which keeps him up to date on current development best practices and technologies. Currently he is focused on Data Pipeline Development and Cloud Computing Architecture. In his free time, if not working on a personal side project, he likes contributing to Open Source Software, trying out new restaurants, checking out exhibitions, seeing live shows, traveling and running.
Réka as an advertising specialist passionately wants to understand every aspect of human behaviour. After graduating in marketing communication, she gained experience in brand and ad related research at Ipsos. She is inspired by the trends of visual and verbal communication, data visualization, integrated campaigns, branding and ad adaptation. She is always in search for new solutions and consumer insights that can change and improve businesses. She is committed to expressive minimalism: expressing the most with telling the least. In her free-time she visits concerts, travels, plays puzzle, learns from artisans and craftworkers, and learns about traditional healing practices.
Eszter is proud to have always worked for companies that are pioneers in their fields and are also Hungarian. She is a Cell and Molecular Biologist by training and prior to joining Synetiq, she worked for SOLVO Biotechnology, a company specialised in carrying out drug-drug interaction services for pharma companies. With SOLVO, Eszter switched to sales and marketing and did business on the US West Coast for 4 years. She has always been fascinated the by the complexity of the human brain and how it evolved to enable us to have feelings and personalities but it was only in 2017 that she learned about and was captivated by neuromarketing. Eszter’s enthusiasm never faded since and today she is spreading it onto others as one of our Client Services Managers. If you want to overjoy her, introduce her to a dachshund or ask her to dance rockabilly with you.
Zsófi graduated as a sociologist and studied survey statistics to deepen her methodological background in social science research. After her studies she gained experience in market research companies (Nielsen, Kantar Hoffmann) and in a media agency (Publicis One Hungary) as a data analyst and researcher. Zsófi is interested in analysing decision-making processes and understanding marketing related human behaviour. She joined Synetiq to get familiar with a cutting-edge research methodology. She has high technical knowledge about how our softwares work and with this she supports the work of other analysts and tech people. In her free time, she likes to explore the world, travel and be active in nature, especially through hiking and running.
Dóri holds a degree in Sociology from ELTE, but she also studied in The Netherlands at Utrecht University. There she gained knowledge of market research, behavioural science and anthropology. She arrived to Synetiq from Ipsos where she worked as a researcher. Prior to that she was volunteer at several NGOs. Dóri believes in interdisciplinarity and she joined Synetiq to deepen and use her social scientific and market researcher knowledge in the field of advertisement. Here she is a part of the client service team, as an analyst she takes part in preparing the measurement, as well as compiling reports. She is eager to use all the advantages of her multifaceted background and to find the common patterns in behaviour of the viewers. In her free time, she is a big cooking enthusiast, she loves modern arts, she enjoys reading, going to concerts and spending time in nature.
Gábor earned his BSc degree from Budapest University of Technology and Economics as a Engineer IT Specialist where he studied and worked with robotics, computer vision and machine learning. Currently he is doing his MSc. He gained experience at a startup company where he worked as a software developer and computer vision specialist. Also he started his own robotics startup. Right now he engineers data and tries to find valuable information in it as a Junior Data Scientist. Besides the school and work he likes to spend time on side projects. He loves to play the guitar, do arts, travel, skateboard and perform magic tricks.
Fruzsi graduated from Durham University where she received her degree in Health and Human Sciences. During her studies she gained a solid background in medical anthropology and health politics as well as the ability to look behind people’s decisions and study their decision making processes. She is fuelled by the desire to explore things with an interdisciplinary eye and understand human nature as something that is enriched by culture, society, politics and economics. She joined Synetiq’s team through Bridge Budapest’s scholarship programme that aims to connect young talents with promising Hungarian startups. Here at Synetiq she utilises her knowledge of people to support marketing and sales activities. She is open minded, loves learning about sustainable development, throwing dinner parties and doing sports of any kind.
Panka graduated as an economist specialised in Hospitality & Hotel Management with completion of abroad studies of Event Management in the Netherlands. Afterwards she gained experience in the field of finance. Now she can combine her studies and practical skills as she is taking care of the company’s operational side, along with Kata and Dóri. There’s no mission impossible for her, no matter if it’s HR, recruitment, financial or office needs related. She likes keeping the team happy and making sure teambuildings are memorable. Random fact: she loves seals. She adopted a seal in Wales and is supporting seal rescues in Ireland.
Szonja graduated from Pázmány Péter Catholic University where she received her degree in Molecular Bionics Engineering. Odd as it sounds, during this program she developed her passion towards neuroscience and programming. She has participated in research at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, during which she analysed interictal iEEG data in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy and used functional connectivity to predict the affected hemisphere. As a Junior Research Manager at Synetiq, she learned how to organise smoothly running measurements with the right equipment and people. Right now she joined the Tech team, to try out herself as a soon-to-be Python wizard, while also doing her MSc in Info-Bionics Engineering. She loves bouldering, doing yoga with her friends, and nevertheless when her cat goes crazy.
Dóri graduated as a Molecular Bionics Engineer from Pazmany Peter Catholic University but right now she is at the Commerce and Management faculty of the Óbudai University. Due to her curiosity she is eager to combine her electrophysiological, neurobiological knowledge with business, and marketing. She participated in a research at The Hungarian Academy of Sciences to develop a microsurgical method for treating epilepsy. She soon developed organisational skills, as one of the event planners of the Student’s Union. She joined Synetiq as a lab assistant to get experience in neuromarketing. Right now she is part of the Business Operations Team as research manager, but she is also keen to support marketing, and sales.In her freetime Dóri likes cooking, hiking and traveling.
